Founding Partner
Jessica Furr is a startup and venture capital attorney who advises founders, startups, and investors across the technology ecosystem. She has worked both in-house at a leading venture capital firm and at one of Silicon Valley’s premier startup law firms, giving her a practical, investor-informed perspective on company building, venture financings, and scaling emerging technology companies.
Prior to founding Lawgorithm, Jessica represented Dragonfly Capital, a $4B+ global, crypto-focused venture capital firm, where she advised investment teams and portfolio companies across multiple funds, negotiated venture and commercial transactions, led regulatory and policy initiatives (including the State of Airdrops Report), and managed governance, employment, and litigation matters. Her work included direct engagement with regulators, authorship of public comment letters, and thought leadership on emerging technology regulation.
Jessica began her legal career at Gunderson Dettmer, advising hundreds of early and late-stage technology companies and venture investors on financings, exits, and complex commercial and IP matters, bringing big-law rigor to fast-moving startup environments
Before law school, Jessica worked as a media and business consultant at Cinetic Media, where she advised lawyers, financiers, and producers on deal strategy, audits, and revenue disputes, grounding her legal career in creative industries and commercial storytelling working on groundbreaking films like Little Miss Sunshine and Precious.
In addition to her practice, Jessica is an Adjunct Professor at FIU College of Law, where she teaches startup and venture capital law, and is a frequent speaker, writer, and commentator on technology, venture, and regulatory issues.
