Katherine Van Dusen
Paralegal
Kate Van Dusen is a corporate paralegal who supports founders, startups, and investors on a range of matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, venture financings, and securities compliance.
Kate joins Lawgorithm from Cooley LLP, where she worked with more than 100 clients across all stages of the company lifecycle from initial formation through late-stage venture financings and M&A. She brings particular expertise in capitalization table management and securities law compliance.
Prior to Cooley, Kate developed a strong foundation in law and public interest through internships with the National Immigrant Justice Center and The Legal Aid Society. In these roles, she assisted attorneys with case preparation, conducted country conditions research, and worked directly with clients in immigration proceedings.
Kate graduated from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs in 2024. She remains an active member of the Princeton alumni community; she serves as an interviewer for the Admissions Office and is the Reunions Co-Chair for the Class of 2024.
Kate is committed to philanthropy and public service. In addition to her work at Lawgorithm, she is a member of the New York Junior League and volunteers as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in the New York-Presbyterian Hospital Emergency Department.
